Best markets for the best prices

As a person who has done years of shopping for everything from food, car parts, electronics, baby gear and more, my experience is there is no one-best-market for all goods. For example when shopping for food supplies it makes sense to shop at local markets where you get the freshest foodstuffs. When shopping for durable goods I believe the best prices can be found on the internet. This is particulatly true for items that can be shipped at a resonable rate. Sellers on Amazon and price driven internet auctions tend to provide some of the best prices I've seen in any market.

Buying a Britax Decathlon

Recently I was in the market for a car seat for my daughter. I wanted something that was thought to be safe, reliable, and easy to install. After doing meticulous research online we decided on the Britax Decathlon. We liked the comfort, safety record, and adjustments it provides. We are very happy with the Decathlon, but I think we ultimately paid too much. Aproximately $300 including tax. Recently I've noticed I could get a new Britax Decathlon online for only a little over $200 at internet auction.

Buying a new computer

Around 4 months ago I was in the market for a new computer. My first decision was whether to by a laptop or desktop. I quickly came to the conclusion that a laptop was the better choice for me. Primarily based on my desire for a small convenient machine. After much research and weighing the pro-and-cons of the many laptops offered on the market today, I decided to purchase a Dell Vostro for about $650.00. I've used my Vostro for about 4 months now. I've found it to be high quality and works without flaw. I'm very happy with my purchase.
